North Point · Meet the Staff · Doug Gee
Elder
Doug Gee serves as the small group leader and Elder here at North Point Fellowship. He and his family started attending back in 1995, and have stayed faithful since then. He was born and raised here in Flagstaff. As a five year old, Doug electrocuted himself by inserting metal into a household outlet. Along with a significant lesson learned, he was left with second and third degree burns on his right hand, some carpet fires and a few small lumps of molten metal. He accepted Christ in 1985 while in graduate school at the University of Colorado, through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Doug has a BS and PhD in Chemical Engineering, and currently works at W. L. Gore as a technical leader. He met his wife Gretchen by spiking a volleyball on her at a Campus Crusade picnic in Boulder, Colorado. They have two daughters, Regan and Petra. In his free time you can find Doug outdoors doing anything active-especially hiking, skiing and mountain biking.
